  Liver cancer is an uncontrolled growth of malignant cells in the liver.
 
  Causes
  
  The causes are not clear but some of the common risk factors include:
 
  Excessive consumption of alcohol
  
  Hepatitis B and C infections
  
  Liver cirrhosis
  
  Chronic liver diseases
  
  Symptoms
  
  Symptoms may not be present in the initial stages. In the later stages they include:
 
  Abdominal pain especially on the right side
  
  Bloating
  
  Nausea or vomiting
  
  Appetite loss
  
  Weight loss
  
  Fatigue
  
  Jaundice
  
  Fever
  
  Treatment
  
  Liver cancer can be cured only if detected early. Treatment depends on the patient and stage of cancer. It may include: mother of the bride wears in coral
 
  Surgery to remove the affected part of the liver
  
  Liver transplant when cancer has not spread beyond the liver
  
  Chemotherapy to shrink the tumor
  
  Hyperthermia  therapy to kill cancer cells through heat
  
  Cryotherapy to kill cancer cells through extreme cold temperature
  
  Prevention
  
  There is no way to prevent liver cancer but risk can be reduced by avoiding the risk factors.
